As we realised that most International Schools are not providing their students with any kind of (or too little) Thai traditional/artistic classes, we decided to do our best in resolving this matter.
Therefore, we are proposing our "Introduction to Thai music and dance" workshop to any Intl. Schools interested in our mission and our projects.
We offer a comprehensive insight into Thai classical Arts to groups of 10-20 students.
MORNING: Introduction to Thai music
- Lecture about the different musical traditions of Thailand
- Get familiar with the different instruments (theory and practice)
- Further practice the instrument you feel more connected with
AFTERNOON: Introduction to Thai dance
Discover and practice the following classical formations:
- Candle and Finger dance (girls)
- Sword dance (boys)
The idea behind these projects is:
- on the one hand, to palliate a crucial deficiency in local and cultural awareness
- on the second hand, to facilitate "wealth redistribution" between these well-off schools and other less fortunate institutions through our Complimentary Educational Projects
The cost of this workshop is 1,000Baht/student (including lunch)
All profits will be used to purchase additional instruments then donate them to the more impoverished/in-need establishments.
